Lorne Cancer 2025
Many in the lab travelled to Lorne, Victoria, for the 37th Annual Lorne Cancer Conference. As always, it was a great conference with fabulous invited speakers and it provided an excellent opportunity to catch up with the Australian Cancer research community in a beautiful location. Alex spoke about the work in the lab and we also presented a number of posters.
Alex presented “Dissecting human solid tumour ecosystems with single cell and spatially-resolved ‘omics”.
Beata Kiedik & Kate Harvey presented “Exploring cellular heterogeneity of localised breast cancers –from bench to breakthroughs”.
Jeremy Mo & Hanyun Zhang presented “Spatial transcriptomics unveils disparities in tumor microenvironment dynamics during neoadjuvant chemotherapy”.
Travis Ruan & Cecilia Chang presented “Reversal of cancer associated fibroblasts suppression on T-cells with hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors”.
Louise Baldwin presented “The Cellular Landscape of In-Transit Melanoma and Resistance to Immune Checkpoint Blockade”.
Sophie van der Leij presented “Creating a Spatially Resolved Breast Cancer Atlas” and won an award for best student poster!! Congratulations Sophie!!
